Who you're hiring

Thirty-five yearsof looking closely

Golden-hour New Zealand coastal landscape with headland and empty beach

I have spent more than three decades behind a camera. Hundreds of television programmes and documentaries. Hundreds of commercials. Most of it built around wildlife — the kind of work where you wait for hours so the moment lasts four seconds on screen.

Along the way I became a celebrated photographer and a published author, and I learned that the discipline is the same in every medium: decide what matters, get rid of everything else, and make people feel something before they think anything.

That is exactly what I now bring to websites and social media. Not templates and filler copy — direction. A site built the way a film is built, with an eye on rhythm, restraint and the moment the audience decides to stay.
